What is CMAT ?
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India. It is a national-level admission test for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.
CMAT scores are accepted by almost all Management Colleges or Institutes. Few leading Business Schools have decided to keep out from CMAT, the reason given was “late announcement” by AICTE. But still quite a number of colleges accept their score.
CMAT is a three-hour test. It is conducted twice a year i.e. In September and February. You can appear in either or both. The better of two scores will be used for admission in next Summer Admissions.
The question paper comprises four sections:
- Quantitative technique

There are 25 questions in each section. While each correct answer carries four marks, each wrong answer will carry one negative marking.

- Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply
- General/OBC: Rs.1400 + Bank charges as applicable
- SC/ST/PD: Rs.700 + Bank charges as applicable
