Objective: Development of Technical Education in India

Clarification on Recognition by AICTE:

  1. Technical Colleges or Institutes running full time Engineering or other Technical programs need  approval or recognition from AICTE
  2. University must be recognized by UGC
  3. It is not compulsory for University to take approval or recognition from AICTE for conducting Engineering or Technical Program.
  4. University shall follow the norms set by AICTE for required education quality standards. Refer Notice on AICTE web-site :

  5. Education Counselling Centres or Admission Counselors are just helping candidates in admission. They don’t require any approval or recognition from AICTE
